- October 18th 2021 - Chris has been asked to be a part of a workshop and premier as the original Fluke (drummer) for the sequel to Million Dollar Quartet, Million Dollar Quartet Christmas. Created by the original MDQ Broadway/Chicago creative team: Chuck Mead (MD), Scott Weinstein (Director). Written by the original MDQ writer: Colin Escott.
- October 18th 2019 - Chris is happy to announce that he will be the Percussion/Foley and Notion Keyboard cover for the 1st National Broadway Tour of The Spongebob Musical! He will be switching off performing two of the parts in the fresh off Broadway show while working with the Broadway creatives that created the show. You can catch him on stage making all of the sound effects for the show or in the pit behind the Notion Keyboard until August 2020.
- July 1st, 2019 - While on break from tour with NFA, Chris will be spending his summer as the resident percussionist for Weathervane Theater in NH. He will be playing 6 different musicals in rep for their summer season. Shows are: Bright Star, Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill, Sister Act, White Christmas, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Spring Awakening.
- January 9th, 2019 - Chris has officially moved to his new home base in New York City! He is located in Astoria in the Queens borough.
- January 1st, 2019 - Shortly after returning home from his ship contract, Chris has accepted the offer to be the drummer in the touring production show, Not Fade Away. The show will be touring throughout the year so make sure to check the website for tour dates
- May 15th, 2018 - Chris starts his second 6 month contract aboard the Norwegian Getaway cruise ship reprising his role as "Fluke" in their production of Million Dollar Quartet, music directed by the original Broadway MD, Chuck Meade.
- March 13th, 2018 - After arriving in Sonora, California, Chris starts rehearsals for his 2nd production of Million Dollar Quartet at Sierra Rep Theater. He will be reprising his role as "Fluke," the drummer character. The show opens March 30th and closes May 6th.
- February 15, 2018 - Chris has been hired as a transcriber/arranger for Tomplay, a company that develops an app for interactive sheet music. He will be transcribing drum and percussion parts from popular songs and music of all genres and creating simpler pedagogical arrangements for musicians of different ability and experience levels.
- November 12th, 2017 - Right after landing back in America after 6 months, Chris will begin performing as a percussionist in BGW's Christmas show, Gloria! The show runs from November 24th until January 1st.
- April 24th, 2017 - After finally landing a cruise ship gig, Chris starts rehearsals as "Fluke," the drummer character in Norwegian Cruise Line's production of Million Dollar Quartet. He will be in Tampa, FL rehearsing with the cast and the original Broadway directors of the show until May 14th when he will be flown to his ship, the Getaway. The Getaway will be located in the Baltic Sea until November 12th.
- April 1st, 2017 - Tapspace Publications has hired Chris as an Engraver. He will be working along side of percussion legends Jim Casella and Murray Gusseck to create and engrave the sheet music for the great publications on Tapspace.
- March 5th, 2017 - Chris is currently headed to Raleigh, NC to spend a few days working with the Enloe H.S. percussion ensemble on the premier of his piece, "Visceral." While there he will also be featured on a Q&A panel about music entrepreneurship for the faculty and students. Music for Visceral will be up on the website shortly.
- January 1st, 2017 - Catsonics, a company located in Bordeaux, France that develops therapeutic music for cats, has named Chris their lead composer! He is currently working on tracks for them and his music will be up soon. Check it out here.
- November 17th, 2016 - Chris and his piece "Molotov," for Wind Ensemble have been featured on Composers Circle! Composers Circle is a website that features one composer from around the world each day. It is an honor to be included on this site. Check it out at http://composerscircle.com/chris-cerreto/
- November 2nd, 2016 - Chris has been commissioned to write a large percussion ensemble piece for the William G. Enloe High School Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Casey Sagolla-Slamp. The piece is set to be premiered mid-February at the school.
- October 31th, 2016 - Chris' run in Monster Stomp at Busch Garden's Williamsburg has come to a close. His next move is performing on cruise ships. More information on that will be available soon!
- September 13th, 2016 - As Chris finishes up the show Mix It Up! at Busch Garden's Williamsburg, he now starts rehearsals for the Halloween show Monster Stomp. MS will be a part of BGW's Howl-O-Scream season running from September 23rd to October 30th in the Globe Theater located in the England section of the park.
